Our Services

Within the Financial Services industry there are three types of adviser that you can deal with and these are listed below together with an explanation of what products and services they offer.

Tied Adviser

These advisers are Representatives of only one company and therefore, can only provide you with advice only on the products and services that their company has to offer and the remuneration is normally on a commission only basis.

Multi Tied Adviser / Whole of Market Adviser

These advisers are Representatives of more than one company or work from a panel of providers and offer products and services based on more than one company or the whole of the market. These advisers are not classed as Independent Financial Advisers as they work on a commission only basis.

Independent Financial Adviser

These advisers are Representative of the whole of the market and are classed as Independent since they work on either the basis of charging a fee for services provided or receiving commission or a combination of both fees and commission at the choice of the client.

Since McLaughlin Hook and our Partners are Independent Financial Advisers we discuss with our clients which option most suits their individual needs.
